Tucumán Governor Clarifies Stance on 2026 Budget

The governor of Tucumán, Osvaldo Jaldo, clarified that the province's deputies will not support the repeal of the educational fund and the disability emergency, within the framework of the 2026 Budget discussion, although they will accept the topic in general. 'In article 75 of the majority bill, the Independence bloc will vote against the repeal, but in favor of disability and in favor of educational funds,' Jaldo stated during the debate on the bill sent by the National Executive Branch. Jaldo recalled that the bloc, made up of three legislators, had already voted in favor of both regulations on previous occasions. 'We have already voted for the disability emergency law and educational funding. Today we will do it again,' the Peronist said in press statements, as reported by the Argentine News Agency. 'With this, I want to totally clarify these versions. We support the disability emergency and educational funding, and we are doing it again,' Jaldo added. Some believe we are still in an electoral process and say what is not appropriate.
